Andhra Pradesh: A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. A 37-year-old employee of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) committed suicide after brutally killing his two sons, police said on Sunday. It is being told that he was very disappointed with the poor academic performance of his children, due to which he took this dreadful step. According to a report by a news agency , the tragic incident took place at around 10 am on Friday. Police said the man was upset over his children's test results. In anger and frustration, he drowned the two children in a bucket filled with water, which led to their death.

He killed children by drowning them in a bucket

When his wife returned home, she found the husband hanging, while the children were found dead in a bucket nearby. The incident has created a sensation in the entire area and has sparked a new debate in the society about mental stress and the education system.

The man was scared about his children's future  that they would struggle in studies and would not be able to excel in the competitive world. Under this mental pressure, he took this drastic step, he said, adding that the police have also recovered a suicide note from the spot, which is being investigated. A forensic team has been deployed for investigation and the exact cause of the tragedy is being ascertained, officials said.

Another similar incident shook the city

In another such case, a 35-year-old man strangled his seven-year-old son to death and then committed suicide. "The incident took place when the mother had gone to the market. When he returned, he found the son's body hanging. The body was rushed to a government hospital where doctors declared him brought dead," she said. However, a day later, his body was found hanging from a tree three kilometres away from the spot.

Post-mortem report will reveal the mystery of death

Police say that in the initial investigation, it seems to be a case of suicide, but the real cause will be known only after the post-mortem report. "We have sent the bodies for post mortem and the exact cause of the deaths of father and son will be known only after the report comes. Such incidents raise serious questions about mental health in society, expectations of parents and the pressure of the education system.
